There She Blows!!!

We checked out the blow hole area.  Twas cool... I almost got VERY wet!

Quobba Blow Holes

Sneaky camp spot at Quobba Blow Holes. Lovely spot. Beach just over the dunes, fishing and snorkelling opportunities galore

It was a bit wild on our walk this morning... big storm last night saw us rushing around at midnight bringing the caravan awning back in.
This is a kind of fishy sanctuary place.

Plant Life is pretty speckie too...

Jo and Lisa came to join in the fun (and to provide a wind-break for our vannie :) )

Coral Bay Sunset with Friends

Special to be able to make such amazing connections.  Jo, Lisa, Andrew and Paivi.

Bruboodjoo Camp was a Great Spot

We wisely got out to check the state of the sandy road.  Reckon the RAM would have handled it with ease, but Niknax was a bit nervous about.

Great Camp Spot, and here we met Jo and Lisa.
Sticky caught a few fish too.

Whale Sharks at Ningaloo

What can I say?  This was a total "one out of the box" experience.  To swim with a whale shark is awe-inspiring.  And when Sticky and I got "left behind" in the water, and were there in the deep, on our own, we heard the SPSHHHHHHH - of a humpback whale ... coming STRAIGHT towards us!  So we actually got a double whammy experience.  And... when we were snorkelling just outside the reef, I also saw a manta ray - So I got the Trifecta.

Our beautiful guide took it upon herself to make sure we got a really close experience with the whale shark (because she felt we had missed out), so grabbed me and dragged me along to the front ... right into the path of the whale shark...

Oh, MY!!!

Cape Keraudren

We have scored another gem of a spot. Sticky had to drag me out of Broome (I needed a bit of stop-time)... so we left on Friday 2nd July. One night at an excellent freecamp called Stanley, then on the Cape Kenaudren where we jagged a really lovely spot overlooking the ocean.  Weather is glorious, and the nights are cooler and more comfortable. Almost weird that we have internet access.  Apparently, the only downside is the sandflies (if the wind drops).

We are a long way from home!

Sticky set up camp and created a good camp fire spot...

Went for a walk on the beach...

And met one of the locals... I was soooooo excited to see him and he showed his true colours

He is still there ...  Great camouflage!
