4wd side-trip near Lake Argyle

 

We had a little side trip!

Saddle Creek. Last night in NT

Fabulous free campsite. (Toilets were ... not a pretty sight though) ... because we were crossing the border the next day we had to eat as much of our veges, honey and fruit as we could. Sunset was magnificent. 

On Our Way to WA

Timber Creek to WA border. Drove (with vannie) up to the lookout just west of Timber Creek. Learned about the Nackeroos ... during WWII, soldiers commissioned to keep the NT protected. Tremendously tough gig.

An overnighter on our way to the WA border.

... and TwoDog's cousin ... this time its a "freshie". Apparently they don't really go for humans. Or dogs 🐾🐊🙂

Top Notch Coffee Spot in Katherine

Only 200m walkies from our caravan park with Lucy we came to Pop Rocket cafe. Great bacon and egg panini and GOOD coffee. 

Two Dogs 🐊

Meet Two Dogs the Croc.  He was removed from a property where he had eaten 2 of the Owners cattle dogs. 

He is kept at the spot we stayed at about an hour out of Darwin.

In this video I had not known the name of Two Dogs.  Had I known, I would not have alluded to Lucy as Croc Bait.  Two Dogs could well have become "Three Dogs"...
