Margaret River

June Long Weekend saw us staying at Margaret River with Lisa and Ian and their friends. Craig had a boat so naturally we went fishing... No catchy fishy, but plenty of wildlife...

The Darwin Sailing Club

No, seriously, Bob and Sarina! We are not really trying to make you jealous. It is just that the weather is so glorious and warm. Every day, no hotter than 30, every night around 20, always shorts weather and blue skies... remember this place too?

We think we need to rename this joint the Darwin Trailer Trash club. Then we can join...

Here we are, meeting Alex for the first time... he told us he was fat and bald and about 5ft tall. I realise he and Bob have a lot in common with their jokes...

Just to make you guys jealous!!! Fantastic food and we have eaten lunch there about 10 times now.
Alex coming out of his house to play golf with us. Not fair that the house looks out on the tenth green.
Our playing partners, Tim and Alex spent the whole time carrying on at each other. I gather that is a regular occurrence. We had the funniest time with them and the golf reflected the fact that we were laughing too much to hit any good shots. Afterwards we went back to Alex and Sue's, met the two girls (gorgeous as they are), then Alex cooked the most stupendous curries. Jealous???
We are missing you too, but making sure we have lots of fun.

Gone Fishin' ...

We drove to Gunn Point for a spot of fishing on the ocean. We had to make sure we did not go into the water as a saltwater croc could leap out and eat us! And people had caught sharks here earlier on in the day. Suffice to say, we saw nothing (except a little stingray) and caught nothing. But we had lots of fun and I got to pose with the ocean fishing rod! (Did not have a clue as to what to do with it, and thank goodness nothing took the bait as I expect the whole rod would have been snatched out of my hands and taken to the depths).

Another fisherman was checking out the water too... But he flew away in disgust.
